It was a woeful day yesterday, when yet again our right to freedom of expression was threatened and saw retaliation unmatched and cowardly, this time resulting in 12 people being killed, in cold blood.

The team of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical Parisian weekly, had to pay with their lives for doing what they believed in and voicing themselves.

But let us not allow these men, who kill in the name of God and righteousness, to drag us into darkness where no opinion exists but of those who wield arms.

And above all let us not allow these dastardly acts of terror to muzzle our beliefs and the freedom to express it.
