One of India’s biggest art shows, India Art Fair, begins on the 28th of January 2016 at NSIC grounds Okhla, New Delhi. Hailed as South Asia’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art, the fair attracts participants as well as art enthusiasts from world over. Count us amongst the art enthusiasts, as we get ready to attend this mega event.
Following the launch on the 28th, the three days of the program, in addition to showcasing works of artists such as Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso and A-list Indian artists, (including members of the Progressive Artists group) also has an impressive line up of activities such as presentations, discussions and book launches. The film ‘Aritist Moving Image’, curated by Shai Heredia sounds particularly interesting.
This eighth edition of IAF is expected to be the most intense edition to date, with a new format which includes ‘IAF Atrium’ - a space designated for discussions and book launches (see above) and new participants from South Asia i.e. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh in order to truly “reflect South Asia’s immense diversity in the visual arts”.
We are excited with the opportunity of being media partners for IAF2016 and look forward to be a part of the event later this month with our magazines on display! Do come by our booth, piled up high with some of the most gorgeous indie prints.
