1. Stacks and genres – what to expect?

We are mindful of your reading tastes and therefore to ensure that you receive only subjects that interest you, we have included an option to pick any 3 out of the 4 Stacks, that contain genres of your interest. 

Under each Stack, we have tried to put together, such genres, which, in our opinion, appeal to shared sensibilities. This in turn, allows us to cover more areas of interest that we can bring to you.

Our aim is to send you at least 1 title of each genre listed under the Stacks selected by you, during your subscription period. 

For the true-blue-reading-fanatics who are happy to read absolutely everything we have the ‘Surprise Me’ option. By selecting this you can expect to receive titles under different genres from all 4 Stacks – for the duration of your subscription. For obvious reasons, if you wish to receive titles from all 12 genres listed under the 4 Stacks, you will need to pick an 18 month subscription plan or a rolling monthly subscription plan (and stick around ☺).

As you will find, the genres are broad headings and therefore titles under a genre may sometimes cover more than one subject. For instance a travel magazine may feature food articles, popular culture magazines may cover write-ups about recreational activities, a lifestyle magazine may cater specifically to women’s or men’s lifestyle, etc. On account of the inherent eclectic nature that the genres and the magazines lend themselves to, we have exercised some thematic discretion in categorizing the titles under various genres – as necessary to bring you the best.

2. How do I know which magazine titles I will get?

Each title is a surprise – that’s the beauty of our service (if we may say so ourselves!). The idea is to discover new titles every month – and what fun is discovery without an element of surprise? Our Stack selection option ensures that you are always on the right side of pleasant surprises from us!

3. Subscription Plans – what does each subscription plan offer?

Our 3 subscription plans allow you to either purchase the whole subscription length today, or opt for a rolling monthly subscription plan. Currently we offer the following plans:

Rolling monthly subscription plan for 1 issue a month – Rs. 1350
6 month subscription plan for 6 issues – Rs. 7,900
12 month subscription plan for 12 issues – Rs. 15,800

4. What payment methods do you accept?

Subscribers can choose to pay by using any major credit/debit cards or Netbanking (select banks) via third party secure payment gateway. Alternatively, we also accept demand drafts and cheques from subscribers opting for the 6 month or 12 month subscription plan. If you choose to pay by cheque or demand draft, we will send you an email with relevant payment instructions. Your order will be confirmed on realisation of the payment amount.

5. How will I get a confirmation of my subscription?

If you have paid using our payment gateway, then an electronic confirmation will be automatically generated and emailed to you.

If you have sent us a cheque or a demand draft, we will send you an email acknowledging receipt as and when we receive it. Once the demand draft or cheque has been realized we will send you an email confirming your subscription within 2 working days of the payment being realized.

6. When will I get my subscription copy delivered?

We aim to mail out our monthly subscription by the 15th of each month. Delivery time on an average is between 5 to 7 working days. We keep the subscribers updated on the months' dispatch via our blog and other social media updates.

7. What do I do to cancel my subscription?

If you wish to cancel your subscription, you could do so by selecting the cancel option available on your profile page that can be accessed once you login using your registered email id and password. Any deliveries paid for but not yet sent out will be refunded. Please see our Return & Cancellation Policy for further details.

8. I want to change my delivery address– what do I do?

You can edit your delivery address, on your profile page that can be accessed once you login using your registered email id and password.

Delivery address change will be taken into account for all future deliveries that have not been mailed out.

9. Can I change my Stack options anytime during the subscription period?

Unfortunately, the Stack options selected at the time of subscription cannot be changed midway during the subscription period, as we work with various publishers well in advance to order the requisite titles.

10. I have gifted a subscription and I want to send a personalized note together with the first copy – can you help?

We will be more than happy to help. Drop us a line at info@joinpaperplanes.com and we will get in touch with you to coordinate the gift note that will accompany the first subscription.

11. How can I renew my subscription?

After your current subscription has expired you can renew your subscription by selecting ‘Renew Subscription’ option on your profile page that can be accessed once you login using your registered email id and password. Once you select this option – you will be taken back to the subscription page where you can check/modify your selection and proceed to pay. We will send you an email nearer to the time to guide you though the renewal process to ensure you do not miss any deliveries.


1. Are the single issues of the magazines recently sent to the subscribers available for purchase?

Apologies, but no. We currently offer only back issues of magazines in our In Store.

2. Do I get a receipt for my purchase?

Any one is welcome to purchase magazine back issues and/or other items available In Store and no registration is required.

3. What payment methods do you accept?

Payment can be made by using all major credit/debit cards or Net-banking (select banks) via third party secure payment gateway.

4. How soon can I expect my order?

We ship the items within 48 hours of the purchase. Delivery time on an average is between 5 to 7 working days unless mentioned otherwise.

5. Can I exchange or get a refund on my order?

Apologies, but items shopped from In Store are considered final sales and no exchanges or refunds are allowed.

6. Can I change the delivery address?

We ship all items shopped from our In Store within 48 hours of the purchase online. If we receive your request for change in address prior to the dispatch we will be happy to accommodate the change. You can drop us a line at info@joinpaperplanes.com regarding the same and we will get back to you.

The Commons

1. I haven’t received my delivery yet?

Drop us an email regarding the missing issue at info@joinpaperplanes.com and we'll get in touch with our courier partner to track down the package.

2. Do I get a receipt for my purchase?

Yes. The receipts are emailed to you at the email ids shared at the time of purchase online.

3. What if I am not there to collect my delivery?

We strongly recommend that you provide a secure daytime delivery address (say, your office address) wherever possible so that your items get delivered when you are present or someone on your behalf is present to take the delivery.

Do you offer international delivery?

Currently our services are limited to India and therefore unfortunately we are unable to offer international deliveries.

5. Is there a minimum criteria to becoming a Paper Planes subscriber or purchasing any product from In Store?

Yes, to become a subscriber of Paper Planes or purchase any of our products, you must:

(a) be at least 18 years of age. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to join Paper Planes;
(b) agree to our Terms and Conditions. If the Terms and Conditions are not acceptable to you, please exit the website and do not subscribe/purchase any of our services or products.
