Our August magazine is every typographers delight and the answer to those of us who wondered what all the fuss was about.
In the editors’ words, ‘In front of the backdrop of wine, sun, beach, and sea, history-charged buildings, financial crisis, and unemployment, a new generation of designers grows up who defines the dramatic change of the country.’
The first half of the issue is a visit to various studious in Portugal, showcasing their work and workspaces. Following this are essays on Portuguese design sensibilities, history and an introduction to the pioneers of Portugese design. What’s more? The issue also comes with a supplement of contemporary typefaces showcasing a selection of 14 typefaces designed by Swiss Typeface design, which can be either archived or cut into a single display card – like we said, a real treat for the typographers, the professionals and the dreamers both!
