LITTLE WHITE LIES ISSUE 82

Little White Lies issue 82 celebrates the unrelenting vision of directors Josh and Benny Safdie. Issue 82 is inspired by (and in thrall of) the new film by the Safdie brothers — Uncut Gems — in which Sandler plays a ducking-and-diving New York jeweller whose intense gambling addiction causes a fair few problems in his eventful life. In this issue, LWLies speaks to the Safdies about their biggest (and best) project yet, explores Sandler’s work as a modern contract movie star, looks at some other American stand-ups who have made the leap to the silver screen, and offers a potted history of Jewish representation in cinema.

About Little White Lies: Eschewing hype, gossip and meaningless celebrity, Little White Lies is a bi-monthly magazine that engages with movie lovers who understand that cinema is about broadening your horizons. It’s a tangible representation of the conversation about films that you wished you had. It’s a magazine about truth and movies.
