Carving Out Public Space in the City

A previously abandoned green patch in the heart of South Mumbai is now a pocket park-cum-plaza that’s open to all.

When designing the park in mid-2022, the landscape was kept in mind. For instance, using non-slippery material for the ramp was necessary with the steep terrain, as creating a more level ramp would have meant cutting down trees. Photograph by Karan Gajjar.
